Support Susan Moran Palmer for US Congress – Fall 2018
NEO Sierra Club endorses Susan Moran Palmer for election to the US Congress in Ohio congressional district 16. She is running as a Democrat and is opposed by Republican Anthony Gonzalez. The 16th district includes all of Wayne County and portions of Cuyahoga, Medina, Portage, Stark, and Summit counties.
Susan grew up in the Youngstown area, and spent the majority of her life here in Ohio. She went to school here, raised three amazing sons here, and managed her own company in Westlake.
Susan attended the Salem Community Hospital School of Radiologic Technology in 1984, and later received her Bachelor of Business Administration from Baldwin Wallace.
Susan started her career thirty years ago as a healthcare provider, and later moved into medical sales. She’s worked for small startup firms, managed her own firm, and worked for two fortune 500 companies.
Susan has also spent over a decade serving on the Board and Legacy Council of Providence House, a nonprofit in Cleveland protecting at-risk children and supporting families through crisis.
Susan is running for Congress because our healthcare system is broken, because working Americans don’t have access to a living wage, and because young people across the nation face crippling debt in order to attend college after high school.
Susan is also running to protect our nation’s youth from the threat of gun violence. Teachers and young people should feel safe when they attend school every day. Our legislators must do more to curb gun violence in the United States.
Now more than ever American families need an advocate fighting for them in Congress. With 30 years of experience in the healthcare field, Susan has spent her life advocating for those in need.
Susan’s campaign priorities are:
- Clean Energy
- Jobs & the Economy
- Health Care
- Medicare and Medicaid
- Ending Corruption
